Florida International University Debate Team

 

The FIU Debate Team is a student union on campus focused on the importance of fostering public debate and public deliberation. Over the last fourteen years, FIU’s debate team has represented the University in collegiate competitions in a variety of public debate styles including parliamentary and policy debate.

FIU Debate has become a leader in fostering public dialogue and public debates in Miami and the FIU Community. FIU debate regularly participates in community dialogue programs and fosters public deliberation. Our debate students frequently work closely with community organizations to moderate public forums and controversial events.
